You’re up to speed on social media, hooked up with Hootsuite, but you’re never quite sure when to post, or if there’s some trick to it you’re missing. Top Nonprofit has come up with just the thing for you.

Designed for “regular organizations that do not have full time social media staff or unlimited resources,” Craig Van Korlaar has created a great practical guide, the 101 of social media marketing.

The best thing about it? It’s practical. “How much time do you have?” he asks in the content planning section, “Be realistic. Block out time. Stick to it.”

And under the Facebook best practices he advises, “Post every other day,” as its the “best frequency to get and keep likes.”

Best of all, the guide is free. So without further ado, here’s the Social Media Posting Guide. Have a look, print it off, and put it up on a wall in your office. These little reminders will keep you on track and improve your reach.
